Living Room Lamps

I was inspired by Kim and her beautiful lighting throughout her home, so grabbed my camera and went shooting. Does make one see their own things in a whole new "light". Sorry Sue, but Stella just insisted on being part of this shoot....

I'd been wanting to add a touch of curtain to the porch off my bedroom. Today while strolling the aisles of Kmart I discovered these shower curtains marked down to $15 and I loved the bright fabric. Because they are white on the reverse side they work wonderfully! I hung them on some $3 clothes line and a few cup hooks. As Sue will notice they also work to hide the black rubber roof on the back half of my house. I hear there is a cold front coming through, so maybe tomorrow morning I'll be able to enjoy a cup of coffee out there.

I just can't wait another day to post my sweet Emma. She loves her Nana's flowers and always has to pick a few!

Target shopping trip

Just returned from a shopping trip to Target with my niece Samantha and her daughter - the precious 2 yr old Emma. This is what I have to show for it - tissues for my mom, 2 kinds of food for my cats, pop, swiffer refills and one lonely b-suit bra for me......Samantha's trunk on the other hand is filled with clothes and shoes for she and the babe. Was a fun spree, but I had to laugh when I pulled out the purchases for me!!!! I'm sure I'll make up for it on another day - in fact I see my new MacKenzie Childs order has shipped! Yippee!!!!

4th of July

My attempt at 4th of July decorating.....not much red in this house!

Thought I'd show my home as it looked when I purchased it. Cute little red house, but red is not my color of choice! I had it painted Wythe Blue, a new driveway and sidewalk put in and created a garden in front. I call it my "miracle garden" because I am always amazed each spring and summer when the flowers appear and look so beautiful

White posts! For Sue!!!

After spending the day on Fri. my guests ended up out on my deck, which had not been cleaned or decorated. The posts were new and still bare wood - primed those today and will work on painting them a black and white check in the future..... The rest was done with things I had on hand....

Friendship Cottage

My home is named for the many lovely friends I share it with....for a night....a week-end.....or an afternoon cup of tea. Their friendship is what makes my cottage a home.
